Mike Jackson, Director, North America Vehicle Forecasts, will explain the short term increase in production from 2009’s low, continued restructuring, product launches and sourcing shifts as well as the need for competitive product portfolios of the future. Jeff Jowett, Manager, North America Powertrain Forecasts, will review upcoming fuel economy regulations, powertrain technologies needed to meet future regulations and the direction of the electric vehicle market.

Charles Chesbrough
Charles Chesbrough, Senior Economist, is responsible for developing and integrating macro-sales forecast scenarios and models into CSM Worldwide global forecasts. Prior to joining CSM Worldwide, Mr. Chesbrough was a Senior Consultant in Ford Motor Company’s North American Marketing Strategy Group. Mr. Chesbrough was a Ph.D. student in economics at Michigan State University, holds a M.A. in economics from the University of Illinois, Chicago and a B.A. in economics from Michigan State University.
Joseph Barker
Joseph Barker is responsible for crafting forecasting models, examining future product intelligence, studying OEM and brand strategies, identifying and interpreting market trends, and monitoring consumer lifestyles and behaviors in the North America region. Mr. Barker’s automotive career spans 20 years with expertise in the disciplines of sales and production forecasting. Mr. Barker earned his Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Wayne State University.
Joseph Langley
Joseph Langley, Manager, Advanced Analytics, North American Vehicle Forecasts, is responsible for short-term production forecasting and market analysis for the North American light vehicle market. Prior to joining CSM, Mr. Langley acted as an industry consultant specializing in automotive information and research services and as a Market Analyst with Standard & Poor’s DRI, now Global Insight, in Lexington, Massachusetts. Mr. Langley also specialized in automotive finance in previous roles at RVI Group, Standard & Poor’s DRI and Bank of America Auto Group.
Mike Jackson
Mike Jackson, Director, North American Vehicle Forecasts, is responsible for directing sales and production forecasting in addition to conducting industry surveillance and product planning analysis to deliver cutting-edge insight on the automotive industry. Jackson brings years of automotive experience with an emphasis on strategic planning activities, international marketing and product assessment. Prior to joining CSM Worldwide, Mr. Jackson was Lead Marketing Strategist for the North American operations of electrical system supplier Alcoa Fujikura, Ltd. Mr. Jackson has an undergraduate degree in management strategy from Eastern Michigan University and earned his M.B.A. in international marketing from Wayne State University.
Jeff Jowett
Jeff Jowett is responsible for North American powertrain sales and production forecasting, future product program intelligence and market analysis. Prior to joining CSM Worldwide, Mr. Jowett spent 14 years at a major automotive OEM as a cylinder block and head casting process engineer, and most recently, worked in the powertrain competitive analysis and strategy group. Mr. Jowett holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
